About Sandy

Thanks for visiting “My Field Days”.  Please stay awhile and read from my journal.

When I started this blog in 2010 I was constantly writing.  Every fresh rose bud, any silly incident… and my mind would instantly begin to write.  I couldn’t wait to sit at my keyboard to tap, tap, tap out the words.

This was my “About Sandy” back then:  I love the simple pleasures of life…  the beautiful outdoors, the joy of family and friends, a good cup of coffee on the front porch. I hope you’ll come back often!

I still love the simple pleasures of life… but somewhere along the way I’ve lost my joy of writing.  The things that consume my world right now are heavy, and I don’t want to continually write about – or think about – the anguish of helping a loved one through Alzheimer’s.  Business associates who don’t keep their word.  Happy relationships no longer in existence.

I need to “get back on the treadmill”!  Literally and figuratively.  So, this week I started dancing to my favorite tunes on the treadmill, and I’ve promised myself I’ll start writing again.  Inch by inch.  Little by little. (June 2018, having just turned 55.)

You honor me by reading my blog!  I thank you!
