Hollandaised

Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Occasionally we add a new word to our vocabulary.  G invented this word last month, and it couldn’t be more perfect.   We’ve been off traveling again.  And again… Holland America has given us a grand time!  We’re not sure if we should spell the new word “hollandaised” or “hollandazed”.  Either works.

I shall give you the definition.  One who is hollandaised dines on sumptuous sauces, sits on velvet seats, and completely forgets how to brew his or her own coffee.

One who is hollandazed wakes up every morning to a brand new view, always spectacular, and always surrounded by rich blue water.

A hollandaised person becomes incapable of making difficult decisions.  The helpless soul must stick to decisions such as whether to tour a temple or perhaps a volcano.

Once you have become hollandazed, you will expect world class musicians to play for you while you eat, and entertain you after you’ve had a bit of ballroom dancing.

We’re home now.  We’ve been hollandaised (I think I like this spelling the best), and we will now try to step back into reality.  Yes… I have stories to tell and pictures to share.  I hope you’ll come back over the next few days and enjoy the journey.

Sounds wonderful and it could not happen to better, more deserving folks– I’ll just have to settle for indulging that state of mind in the back yard for awhile. glad to have you back in “hollandaised” NM safe.
