I Want to Crochet

Public declarations.  That’s how I get things accomplished.

Accountability is very high on my list.  If I say I’m going to do something, I will truly strive to keep my word.  And so, with a bit of trepidation, I announce to the world that I want to learn to crochet this year.

It seems to me that every woman should be able to make a doily.  Oh my… I can’t stand following patterns and instructions.  This will be a challenge.  I don’t even know how I’m going to go about this.

But there you have it.  My goal for 2014.

Aren’t these beautiful little creations?  They’re special treasures made by Gary’s grandmother.  She will be in my heart while I’m trying to learn.

I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU. HOPE ALL GOES AS PLANNED. I TRIED THE CROCHETING THAT MOM DID AND NEARLY CUT ALL BLOOD CIRCULATION OFF MY FINGERS. KEEP ME POSTED.

I learned but haven’t crocheted in a very long time.

I have some of these very same items that Rudy’s mother crocheted. Several of his sisters are experts having made large tablecloths with that fine cotton thread!! I can crochet but haven’t done it in a while. I probably couldn’t read and follow a very complicated pattern. Since Katie wants to learn wouldn’t it be fun to have a crochet retreat weekend? HAHA I’m so with you on needing “declarations” to get things accomplished. I may soon have some of my own, but I’m still in the planning stages.:)
