The Letters
How I would love for you to join my mailing list, if you haven’t already. I know I’m always hesitant to sign up for things. You sign the harmless little paper at the county fair, and the next thing you know you’ve volunteered to head up next year’s “Beginners’ Harmonica and Banjo Competition”. (The good news is… you’ll get a free facial and letter opener for your efforts!)
I promise… you won’t be bombarded with e-mail, the list is completely and privately mine, you won’t be added to any other mailing lists. It’s just a way for me to stay in touch with you, and send a little reminder from time to time about my weblog.
I typically send a letter once a month. Since I love to chronicle things… I’m putting all the letters on this page. Hope to see you on the list!

April 30, 2013 A New Baby Girl
Oh, how I love it when the grass starts to turn green and flowers start appearing. It’s time for fresh new starts all the way around!
My mom has a new baby poodle. (Harder to photograph than I ever imagined!) Hope you’ll enjoy the photos I took.
I’ve had a wonderful month with friends and springtime events. As I wrote in one of my entries… just enjoying the good life. Please come over to “My Field Days” and spend a few minutes with me. And please leave me a comment or two. I truly love to hear from my readers!

March 20, 2013 Welcome, Sweet Springtime!
Hee hee! I was just trying to think of something “springy” to say, and that title came out. Of course I instantly thought of Barney Fife singing. Did you? What a sweet thing… memories!
I’ve written about more of my wonderful memories. I’ve written about poignant moments in my days. I’ve written a recipe down. What would I do if I couldn’t write? Sure do love it, and sure do love it when you click over and visit my blog. Thank you. Truly!
While I’m writing… if you’re one of my Facebook Fans, I’d sure like it if you’d click over to the page and “like” a photo or a link. If you don’t do that every once in a blue moon, Facebook will stop showing you my posts. Thanks!
Just wanted to wish you a happy spring and remind you to click over to “My Field Days” for a few moments of relaxation in a hectic world.

I must write about it all. It can’t be helped! It’s my pleasure and my therapy.
Please click over and join me for a little while as I share “My Field Days”.
Thanks for reading. You’re all my sweethearts!!

January 2, 2013 Oh! I hope it’s a great year for you!
Let me join the greetings from around the world, wishing you a wonderful 2013!
I’ve shared my hopes for the new year over on the website… “My Field Days”. I think you’ll enjoy my goals, and I’ll bet some of them are on your list too.
We had a lovely Christmas, and although it’s time to put away the decorations, I hope you’ll like my pictures and the little stories about some of my treasures.
I know you’re busy. When you stop for a few minutes to read my things and look at my photos, I’m ever so honored. Truly! Believe me when I say it. You, my dear friends and readers, are a very happy part of my life, and I wish you all the best in the coming year.

December 10, 2012 Over the River
Hi there! It’s the season to go over the river and through the woods. I’m looking forward to all the beautiful things about December I love so much.
Meanwhile, I have been off traveling again. Not just over the river… but over the Pacific. I’m having a great time sharing the wonderful journey on my website, and I sure hope you’ll click on over to My Field Days and come along for the ride.
I wish you all a wonderful ending to this year. I hope your days are filled with laughter and special moments.
Thank you for being such a happy part of my life!

October 22, 2012 Greetings from a know-it-all!
Just popping in to say hello. It’s time to make a cup of your favorite hot drink, pull up “My Field Days”, and relax for a few minutes.
This month I was quite nostalgic over the sale of my grandparents’ vacation home. Such a joy to be able to put my thoughts and photos into my journal.
As for knowing it all… some people would jump to the silly conclusion I’m talking about politics. But no! It’s about chocolate! I had some fun getting bossy with how it should be eaten, and today I’ve shared an incredible recipe for cashew-butter-cocoa-cookies. You know how I love to experiment in the kitchen! This one went very well. Make these cookies!!
You’re so kind to allow me onto your computer screen, or your IPad, or whatever gizmo you’re looking at. As always, I thank you kindly!

September, 13, 2012 It’s Cold and Rainy
Greetings! I’m sitting here in my sweatshirt-hoodie, loving the first real taste of autumn. We’ll have a few more hot days, but today’s high is going to be 60, with rain showers throughout the day. I’m thinking of starting a jewel box this afternoon to celebrate!
Please click over to my website and spend a little time with me. There I go again, bragging about my family and my priceless possessions, but I’ve tried not to go on and on too very much.
And there’s more about my new eating habits. If I do say so myself… the limerick about going gluten free is mighty cute! If you’re going to give up bread pudding and apricot cobbler… you’d better find a way to do it with some laughter.
“My Field Days”… see you there!

August 15, 2012 Still Having a Field Day
Summer is winding down. I’m happy about that. Always ready to welcome the next season. I sure hope you’ve been having good days.
I invite you over to “My Field Days” to relax for a few minutes with a cup of coffee, and let’s catch up. You know I love to hear from you, so please feel free to leave comments all the time!
I also want to give a special thank you to everyone who clicks those “like” and “share” buttons. You give me happy encouragement! I tell myself all the time that if only a handful of friends and family read my blog, then I’m happy as can be. But… to be honest… it sure is fun when I see the analytics map lighting up all across America and other countries. And I can’t do it without you. So… again… thank you! I mean it!
I have a new kitty cat, I’m on a new diet, and I’m still enjoying the simple pleasure of life. Hope to see you on the site!

July 10, 2012 Always Pondering Something
Hi friends,
My days are full… I’m sure yours are too. I invite you to take a little break, click over to “My Field Days” and relax for a few minutes.
People who love to write just look at every event – every little moment – as an opportunity to preserve it through the written word. I appreciate it so very much when you take the time to share my experiences with me. A couple of weeks ago I wrote a piece named “On Sunday”. I believe it may have been my most popular post ever. And I certainly didn’t mean to be so tricky with my “Off to France” title. Ha! I still have people saying to me, “I thought you were in Europe!”
The days continue to give me much to write about. Hope to see you on my website.

June 6, 2012 I’m Pushing Fifty
I turn 49 today, so I’m pushing on 50 at a quick clip! I’ve always enjoyed rolling into the next decade, and I hope you’ll continue to come along with me this year as I write about My Field Days.
Have you clicked over lately? The summer is always intense with activity, and I love taking breaks to write about something calm. Come spend a few minutes when you’re needing a breather!
Today I’m sharing memories of some birthday gifts from that man of mine. Hope to see you on the blog!

May 4, 2012 Cookies, Cakes & Dandelions
A friend saw me in the grocery store the other day and commented on how much I love to cook. Hee hee! Not so! I love to work in my yard, and on the once-in-a-blue-moon occasion that I bake up something yummy, I have fun sharing it on “My Field Days”.
I hope you’ll click on over and catch up with me. I enjoyed writing about the wonderful parade I view from my front porch, and then a couple of days later, I was joined by a big bull snake right there in my rocking chair! Guess I could blog about that… but I can just sum it up by saying we startled each other! (And we both survived.)
If your e-mail doesn’t allow my link to show up – just remember, I’m at field dash days dot com.
Hope to see you there soon!

April 9, 2012 People, Places and Portraits
Hi everyone! I sure hope this letter finds you in the middle of a wonderful day.
When you have a few minutes, I hope you’ll click on over to “My Field Days”. You’ll find some of this and some of that. Memories of good days, wishes for the future, and always my favorite… stories of precious heirlooms. And by the way – have you started writing down the stories of your own heirlooms yet? I hope so!
I’ve been on a serendipitous roll with portraits. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing them, and reading the stories. I thank you so much for taking the time to join me on my website. Truly! It means so much to me, and I hope you know how much I appreciate it.

March 8, 2012 In with the new
Spring is around the corner, and it’s just the time of year to think new thoughts and embrace new things.
I’ve had such a fantastic time writing about my recent vacation – all the way down to Antarctica! If you haven’t been over to “My Field Days” in awhile, I invite you to click on over and enjoy some of my favorite photos and moments from the trip.
Since I’ve been back, I’ve embarked on another journey… writing a weekly column for my local paper. I appreciate the Portales News Tribune for giving me another space to fill with words, and also for allowing me to share the column on my own site. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Wishing you a day filled with simple pleasures!

February 16, 2012 Hello Everyone!
It’s been awhile since I’ve written… but I have a good excuse. I’ve been off on the most marvelous vacation. If you read the blog during January, you may have noticed a South American stream running through my posts. And that’s where I was! Now that I’m home, I’m putting photos together and sharing some of the things I wrote while we were away. Today’s entry is about a grand day in Patagonia.
I hope you’ll drop by for an on-line-visit, and keep coming back to hear more about the journey. It was very special. But aren’t they all??!!
Please feel free to leave a comment while you’re on the site. It’s truly a treat for me to read them!

I sure hope your holidays have been special. Mine were filled with so many simple pleasures… fresh white snowfall every morning of the Christmas weekend, family and friends, jigsaw puzzles, tangerines in my stocking. It was a beautiful way to wrap up a very busy year.
This new year is off to a happy start here at our barn. I wish the same for all of you!
Thank you for reading about “My Field Days” as I go along and go along. As you know, it tickles me pink!

December 13, 2011 December Greetings
Oh my goodness! A month full of concerts and caroling, decorating and gift-making. Never a dull moment.
You know I love to write about all of it, so if you’ haven’t been over to “My Field Days” in awhile, please click on over. Last week I wrote a simple piece called “Our Courteous Romance”, and it was so well received. Many clicks on the site that day! I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Do any of you have an old fashioned Reader’s Digest Santa? Mine is a special treasure. You’ll love him! It’s quite clear that I love Christmas. I went ahead and created a category just for the holiday, so if you love little Christmas pieces, be sure to have a look.
Hope to see you on my blog. Leave a comment anytime! I love hearing from you!

I love November! Such a beautiful time of year with so many wonderful events lined up on the horizon. I hope your calendar is filling up with things to look forward to.
Have you been over to “My Field Days” recently? I’ve added recipes and memories… all wrapped up in simple pleasures.
This week I especially hope you’ll enjoy reading about a wedding gift I received all those years ago. A very special keepsake from an incredible group of men and women… the American Legion and Auxiliary.
Thank you so much! I appreciate having you in my life! I love your comments, your e-mails, your Facebook “likes” and “shares”. What a wonderful hobby this is for me… and you all make it possible!

October 18, 2001 Brown Norther
Greetings from my barn on this beautiful October morning. Quite a contrast from yesterday. Boy Howdy! We had weather yesterday! I put a photo on the blog this morning, but mine is nothing like some of the images you can find on the internet today. I’m calling it a “brown norther”.
I always love October, and I’ve certainly enjoyed writing this month. A quilt show inspired me to go in search of some families from our community who would have lived here in the 1930s. I’ve shared their names in the post called “Quilt Blocks”. Maybe you can help me find them.
Click on over when you have 4 or 5 minutes to relax and catch up on “My Field Days”.

Thank you giving me a few minutes of your day. I know life can get hectic. Hopefully “My Field Days” offers a little calm in the storm.

September 11, 2011 On this day…
As I type today’s date, I am at once shocked that it has already been ten years, and also amazed that it has only been ten years. Yesterday… and at the same time… an eternity ago. Along with all of America, I share my 9-11 story today.
I believe there’s an unplanned theme running through my recent blog posts. We have made it through. Our hot summer is behind us, and we’re getting a little rain. “My Field Days” celebrated a full year, and we had a fun party to mark the occasion. That wonderful marker of summer ending and fall beginning took place… the Roosevelt County Fair.
Please take 4 or 5 minutes to click on over and join me today. “My Field Days” continues to grow and reach around the world. Thank you so very much for making that possible!
God please bless us – everyone… and especially today… God bless America.

August 3, 2011 Waltzing Across Texas
Today I am making my way across the great state of Texas. I live just a stone’s throw from the western border, and I’m heading to Houston. Going to enjoy the ride with my parents. We’re headed for a grand time… and sure… I’ve written about it on the blog.
July was jam-packed! Isn’t that the way with summer? I’ve had a class reunion, hosted parties, had happy summer events, reflected on good memories. I truly can’t tell you how much I love having the website… this place where I get to share my thoughts and my hopes and my memories with you. It is a respite in my busy life! Thank you for reading, and thank you for commenting when you do. I love hearing from you, and I think everyone does! (If you’ve never clicked on the ‘comment’ button, please check that out. It’s a wonderful treat to see what others have to say.)
Every week “My Field Days” gets news subscribers. I welcome you all!! I love seeing familiar names joining the list, and I love seeing the names I’ve never heard before. You all honor me when you sign up. I’m so grateful!
I hope you’ll enjoy my latest posts. Hop on over to see what’s new.

July 12, 2011 I Must Confess
Hi there!
I just have to say – one more time – how much I love having the weblog. Like a photographer who just wants to snap one more photo… I’m forever going throughout my days (and nights) wanting to write things down. You give me that place to do so, and I thank you very much!
Today I’m confessing another ridiculous blunder while I’m cheering about last night’s beautiful rainstorm. This month I’ve wished G a happy birthday, I’ve shared my ice cream experimentations, I’ve been patriotic, I’ve had sleepless nights, dreamed of being a flower, and welcomed sweet babies into the family. Probably the same kinds of things you’ve been doing! And, as always, I’ve loved writing about all these things.
Thanks for being a part of My Field Days!

Hello Everyone!
I’ve been thinking… it was not so long ago I was writing to you about the “deep freeze” we were going through in New Mexico, and now we’re in the middle of this blistering drought. Seasons come and go. Time marches on.
Writing about a beautiful old pitcher that belonged to my great-grandmother put me on a path of memories about all my great-grandmothers… and their beautiful names. I’ve shared their names on the blog, along with wonderful photos. I’d love for you to share the names of your grandmothers. I’m loving this about the weblog… it’s a place where I can start a conversation, and others can join in. I hope you’ll always feel free to do so!
See you there…

Hi everyone!
What fun it is to come to the computer on your birthday in the world of technology! I’ve been over on Facebook, and it’s just so much fun to see all these friends’ faces popping up with birthday greetings for me.
You know I love to limerick, so for kicks I wrote myself a birthday rhyme. It’s my birthday wish, and it’s nothing wonderful like “world peace”… so I feel a little guilty about that… but I had some fun. Please pop on over. =)
And while you’re on the blog, be ready to copy down an ice-cream recipe I posted last week. Oh wow!!! Delicious. I’ve made two batches in one week. And be ready next week… I’ll be adding the recipe for that sour cream ice cream. Sour cream! Love it. I know that my mom has made my favorite sour cream cake for me today, and I can’t wait to have some. Probably need to get that recipe on the blog too.
Can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate you all! I love writing for you, and you make me feel so special when you read my things.
Happy June to you and yours!

It’s a beautiful day in Portales, New Mexico. Besides being a lovely spring morning, this day is filled with tradition for our town. It’s Maypole. The PHS seniors will take part in a beautiful evening which has been on-going here since 1929. I’ve shared my memories of that special night, when Gary and I waltzed together years ago.
And yes… lots of other things on the blog. I never run out of things to write about!
Sure hope you’ll pop on over and join me.

Oh my! Where did April go? I see it’s been three weeks since I’ve written to you. Not sure about yours, but my calendar is full and I continue to write things into those boxes. It’s gearing up to be a wonderful and busy summer.
You’ll find a little of this and some of that on my website. A really delicious recipe. My thoughts on a ferocious fire that swept through our community in April. Musings on the plants in the barnyard. (By the way… I believe the ash “tree” is going to be replaced with a red oak on Monday!)
I hope the month of May will give you one opportunity after another to smell the roses. Thank you for letting “My Field Days” be among them!

Hi everyone!
I’ve been quite nostalgic this month. (Imagine that!) I’ve just been enjoying my precious heirlooms and my wonderful community at the same time.
We’ve had some gangbuster winds, but the people of Portales agree… we’ll gladly put up with them to be surrounded by such wonderful people. We have three types of people on this mailing list: Those who live in Portales. Those who used to live here. Those who wouldn’t even know where to look for it on a map. Wait… four categories. Those who DO know how to find it on a map.
Whichever category you fall into… I sure hope you’ll enjoy reading about our town and why we love it so.
Anyway… a few new posts since the last time I wrote. Thank you so much for dropping by “My Field Days”.
The mailing list continues to grow. You are so kind to me! Thank you for spreading the word, and sharing the blog with others who love the simple pleasures of life.

It’s Spring!
What a season! I love it. Here in New Mexico winter is short-lived, and our deep freeze has given way to sunshine, daffodils, and fruit tree blossoms. Oh yes… I’ve loved writing about them all.
I’m enjoying working my way through my treasured possessions, giving each their own “I Have This…” story. This month I’ve told about the icebox belonging to Gary’s grandparents, and the dominoes from my family. (I sure hope you’re inspired to get stories written down about your own treasures!)
We’re all heartbroken about Japan. Having the blog has given me a place to express some of my feelings. Please feel free to add your own comments.
Speaking of comments. You guys are the best! I love reading your comments! I hope you’ll all go back from time to time and find the articles you’ve added to. It’s great fun to see what everyone has to say.
Happy Spring to all of you. Thank you for sharing My Field Days with me! www.field-days.com

Hi everyone! Just popping in to wish you a happy weekend, and invite you back over to my ‘weblog’. Oh, the fun I’ve had confessing some ridiculous things about myself! And it seems I’ve been in the mood for limericks this month. I found some old family papers that reminded me… one of my great-grandmothers loved limericks too. So glad I inherited this from her.
Here’s another reminder. If you’re on Facebook and you’d enjoy getting the link every time I post something on the blog, please search out “My Field Days” and join that page. It’s another fun place to leave comments. And that reminds me. I LOVE reading the comments from everyone. Thanks for reading, and thanks for sharing!

Wow! What weather we’ve had. I know many of you have been in the deep freeze along with me! And to those of you basking in the warmth… think of us drinking our coffee, wrapped up in our quilts, trying to stay toasty.
I do love the weather. In my myriad of college degree plans, I spent a little time fancying the idea of being a weather-girl. I always think that would have been a really fun job. Well, I’ve enjoyed writing about the weather… along with all kinds of other goodies. Pop on over and have a look.
A cold wind was blowing today, so I’ve taken the opportunity to write up another little weather story. It’s about a windy day that marked a huge turning point in my life… and I have loved telling it through the years. Thanks for letting me share it with you on the blog.
Take care!

Hi Everyone!
You know what I just love about this whole weblog thing? I
occasionally have these moments where I wonder what in the world I
think I can write about for days and weeks and months on end. But
then I snap out of it and realize that will never be the problem.
If anything, the problem is keeping myself from writing too much.
The honest-to-goodness simple pleasures of each day fill my
thoughts and I find that I can’t wait to sit at my computer and put
things on the website.
If you haven’t spent any time at www.field-days.com lately, I invite you
to spend a few minutes there this week. I have truly loved writing
about some special gentlemen over the past few days. I think
you’ll enjoy the posts.
Means the world to me that you read my blog! Thank you!

Happy New Year!
I sure hope your holidays have been wonderful. Today I’ll take
down my Christmas tree and staircase garland, so I suppose I’m
declaring the holidays “complete” in my home. Always good to put
things away and start fresh.
If you haven’t visited my website in awhile, I invite you to go
have a look. I’ve been writing away throughout the Christmas and
New Year season… always love putting my thoughts into typed words.
Today I have added a very special post. My Grandma’s birthday is
this coming week. Many of you knew Clytie. She was such an
incredible woman. Probably more than anything else, she loved
preparing Sunday Dinner for her family. I’ve written about that
marvelous tradition and what it has meant to our family over the
years.
Thank you for letting me share with you. Please feel free to
invite your friends and family to join the list. It’s an honor and
privilege to write for you!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
I love December, and I’ve had a wonderful time enjoying the simple
pleasures of the holidays. Getting new flannel sheets on the guest
bed, stocking up on groceries for all the family feasts, making
Christmas ornaments. As always, it’s been my pleasure to write
about it, and to capture some of my moments on camera.
I hope you’ll have some quiet time to click over to my site while
you drink your coffee… or perhaps that eggnog!
May your holidays be blessed beyond measure!

I sure hope you’re having a wonderful month. I absolutely love
December. I love traditions… both old and new. I love Christmas
music. I love making gifts. I love decorating the tree. You know
how I love writing, and this month my mind is constantly filled
with things I want to add to my site. So… if you haven’t checked

I have no way of knowing who among you has been clicking over to my
shopping places, but I thank you very much! (They’re all there on
“My Favorites” page, and I’m tickled that you’re enjoying those
companies too!)
There’s still sawdust on my hands from today’s Christmas activity.
Better get back to it!

Christmas will be here in two short weeks. Enjoy every minute of
it!! And thanks for reading my blog and welcoming me into your

Every year we marvel that December is upon us, and this year is no
exception!
As always, I’ll be enjoying the simple pleasures of decorating,
remembering, and carrying on traditions. I’m so thrilled I can
write about these things and share my thoughts with others.
One tiny commercial plug! If you’re shopping online this December,
I hope you’ll remember to click through my site. Just go to “My
Favorites” page to find the links to ChristianBook.com, Cabela’s,
Gander Mountain, and Coffee.org. If you’re putting those cruise
tickets under the tree, find the link to Cruise Direct on my
“Cruising!” page. Thanks for letting me advertise!
If you haven’t been to www.field-days.com in awhile, go have a
look. I’ve shared my Nana’s pecan pie recipe. (Those who tried it
for Thanksgiving say this will become their recipe from now on!)
And I’ve just added a piece about those wonderful Hostess Snack
Sets. I used mine the Saturday after Thanksgiving for my muffin
party, and just had to give them a story.
May December be a wonderful month for all of us. Enjoy your
memories, and set about making special new ones!

I love Thanksgiving! I think it’s my favorite holiday of all.
It’s just a relaxing time… good food, good times, good parade.
Gary’s family will be coming to our barn to share the day, and
we’ll be spending time with all our extended families throughout
the week. A special time! I hope your week will be filled with
special blessings as well.
There are new things on the site, www.field-days.com . I really
had no idea there was so much hubbub going on with airport security
when I was just having fun killing time last week as I spent a day
in airports and on airplanes. I had to get the pat-down, and it
just seemed like the logical thing to limerick about!
I believe my favorite category on the blog is “I Have This…”. I
tremendously enjoyed writing about an old heirloom rolling pin I
have in my possession. I don’t use it to make my pies, but I see it
each and every day, and it always makes me happy. I’m looking
forward to reading comments from you about Thanksgiving pies, or
maybe a special rolling pin in your family collection.
Enjoy this beautiful week!

Hi everyone!
Isn’t November a beautiful month? Thanksgiving is on the way,
weather is glorious.
This past week has been busy with work, the excitement of the
election, and for us – the fun tradition of Turkey Dinner at the
Methodist Church. I love traditions! They give me so much to

Today was a special birthday in our family… Gary’s Grandma
Fields. I enjoyed writing about my good memories with her. She
and I didn’t have many years together, but she made a beautiful
impression on my heart.
Enjoy your day!

Hi there!
It’s 7:00 Monday morning here in Portales… and in one hour, it
will be Tuesday on Guam. That means it’s very, very close to being
Election Day in America! I really enjoyed writing about the
incredible atmosphere surrounding election time on that island.
It’s amazing, and I miss it!
It’s been awhile since I’ve e-mailed, so if you haven’t checked the
site lately, you’ll find new limericks, probably a little more of
this and that, and hear about the fox who joined us for coffee!
Guam friends, I hope you’ll share today’s post with other
Guamanians. Sure wish I could pop over to enjoy election day!
But I’m incredibly excited about New Mexico’s elections, so I’ll
enjoy Tuesday all the way around!
Thanks for reading!

Greetings!!
I hope you’ve had a great weekend. We sure have! We mixed business
with pleasure, and after an all day contractors’ course in Roswell
on Friday, headed on to Ruidoso to pitch the tent. You know I had
to write about that!
Traveling makes us so happy. We made a promise to ourselves years
ago that we would always make room for it, and in the past week
I’ve added an entirely new page to my blog, all about a totally
different type of travel we love. I hope you’ll check it out!
(With the new page, comes another new partner, and I’m so pleased!)
I’ve always loved limericks, and now that I have an audience I can
force them upon… I’m ‘limericking’ about anything and everything.
Wade through them if you dare!
You have made me so happy by joining my mailing list. I used to
come home and write up a little story about our camping trips, then
try to click through my e-mail list and see who I thought might
enjoy reading it. It is so much fun to just come home and put it
on the blog! It means the world to me that you’ve said, “Yes – I
like to read what you write.”
Thank you again!

Happy Weekend Everyone!
I’ve been carried away all week… you can’t imagine how much fun
it is for me to have this blog. When my fingers are clicking away
at they keyboard, I’m usually grinning. And it makes me happy to
be able to share with all of you.
Today I have my little brother with me, and I’ve just told him that
I’ve put him on the internet. I hope you’ll enjoy reading the
poignant tale… “I have this little brother”.
While you’re visiting the blog from time to time, I’d sure love for
you to have a look at my “favorites” page. These companies really
ARE my favorites, and I’m excited to have them as “partners” on my
website. If you’re planning on buying anything from these
companies, a click through my site gives me a small gratuity. (It’s
the waitress job I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl!!)
Hope you have a great weekend. We’re heading out to watch our
Portales Rams and the marching band tonight. It’s Homecoming!
Thanks a bunch!

Hi there,
Today I’m so excited because I’ve added a new “partner” to my
website. They’re all listed on the page called “My Favorites”, but
I was especially delighted this morning when I was granted
“Partnership” status with this particular company, so I wrote about
it.
And I love writing limericks.. so this week I decided I’d start
putting some on the site from time to time. I started with one
that cracks me up.. if I do say so myself. Maybe you had to have
been there… well.. I think we’ve all been there!
I wonder if I’ll always be trying to talk myself out of sending
these e-mails! I just don’t want to bombard any of you with
e-mail, but I’m happy to let you know when I’ve added something I
think you’d enjoy reading.
The weather in Portales is perfect in October! I hope it’s
beautiful where you are too.

p.s. I apologize to those of you who have received that 404 error
about looking for something that’s not there. I’m working on it!

Greetings to all!
I tell myself not to go too overboard with the blog, but I just
have so much fun! Can’t help myself.
I’ve added a few things this week, so if you haven’t had the time
to pop over there, I hope you’ll go to www.field-days.com for some
light reading.
Tonight I had to write about my flower beds, and earlier in the
week I was remembering one of my heroes, John Bealmear.
Thank you so very much to all of you who have signed up for this
mailing list. Honestly… I’m honored!

Today is my dad’s birthday, and I’m sharing more memories. I hope
you can drop by for a little reading.
Thank you all so very much for joining my mailing list. I get a
happy ringing notification when another person joins, and it
sure does make me smile! Knowing that others are reading is great
motivation for me!
By the way, when I get this e-mail (from myself) in my mailbox,
it’s always in junk mail. I’m working on all that. Hoping to make
everything as user friendly as possible.
Thanks!

Greetings!
I’ve just added a very special post to www.field-days.com .
Today is my mother’s birthday, and I wanted to share a special
memory. I hope you’ll have some time to click on over and read it.
By the way… thanks for joining this mailing list. It’s my maiden
voyage using this e-mail account, so I hope it’s smooth sailing!
Enjoy your day!

Sandy, I’ve just had the most delightful break visiting with you via your blogs. (Like a piggie, I enjoyed several at one sitting!!!) Thank you.
Sandy, I enjoy every thing about the “Field Days”. So many times your writing makes me remember things I had put back in my “long ago memory bank”. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. Bettye
Thank you ever so much! It’s my pleasure to write, and I’m thrilled to have readers!
