My Resume

It’s a pleasure to do what we do

Building houses so neat and so new

This job makes me glad

And of all the jobs had

It’s the top… and I’ve had quite a few

I’ve sold beautiful hats in my store

Typed stock market prices galore

Taught school for awhile

Laid a whole lot of tile

Painted baby shoes by the sea shore

I’ve sung for my supper for kicks

Repaired furniture with scrapes and nicks

Sold cards at Hallmark

Peddled crafts in the park

Have learned a few carpentry tricks

Now I keep all the spreadsheets in line

Sitting here at my desk suits me fine

I can write when I like

Garden when the mood strikes

I’m sure spoiled with this job of mine

Really, really love having a home office!   Although for many years, I got a kick out of working on the jobsites almost daily… I’ve sure enjoyed this transition.  Fun to write a little limerick about it.  We’ve just had our 30 year high school class reunion, so I’ve been thinking about all the things we’ve done since then.  When you’re walking across the stage and getting that diploma… you’ve really got no idea what’s in store!!
