New Year Goal

Note to self… this coming summer get lots of parsley planted in the midst of the petunias and marigolds!

The summertime flowerbeds are always so pretty.  This wonderful profusion of yellow and white out in front of the red barn.  But wintertime flowerbeds… oh my.  I always hope my guests just glance away when they’re approaching the front door!

My mom gave me a pretty little parsley plant a couple of years ago and it sat by my kitchen window for a few weeks.  But after a bit it was put out into the flowerbeds where it seeded and spread.  I had no clue it was such a hardy plant.  It survived the bitter winter last year, then the brutal summer, and now it’s just looking beautiful and healthy through ice and snow.

So that’s the plan.  Get parsley spread throughout the long flowerbeds.  It’s not a New Year’s resolution of great magnitude… but I’m excited about it!  Do you have something fun and simple planned for 2012?

Don’t like making resolutions ’cause I just break them.
But, I would like to pick up my paintbrush and canvas a little more often in 2012.
Happy New Year, Sandy and Gary.

Fun and simple……yes. I will organize a couple of closets. I keep telling myself it will be fun, once I get in!

Organizing a closet… I love that activity!! And Marcea, I’ll bet there are many who join you in your hopes of spending more time with a paintbrush in hand!
