Sharing Horizons

Before we left home, I was thinking about the boot photo… you know… where we put our feet in the picture and capture the view.  I could imagine the photo with Everest in the distance, and a caption popped into my mind.  “Sharing horizons that are new to us”.

Once we got there, it became a happy goal to take photos for that entire song. Thanks to “the team” for snapping our pictures along the way.

We’ve only just begun to live

White lace and promises

A kiss for luck and we’re on our way

We’ve only begun

Before the rising sun, we fly

So many roads to choose

We’ll start out walking and learn to run

And yes, we’ve just begun

Sharing horizons that are new to us

Watching the signs along the way

Talking it over, just the two of us

Working together day to day, together

And when the evening comes, we smile

So much of life ahead

We’ll find a place where there’s room to grow

And yes, we’ve just begun

Oh, I’m so happy to see that someone from such a young generation (Katie) can love this song!! When I first started reading this post I was thrilled since I loved The Carpenters…have albums, yes vinyl! But then I wondered if the lyrics might not have the same feeling for some of your younger readers. Glad you are introducing a new generation to the sweetness of this song and putting it so perfectly with your trip pictures. Gives me goose bumps and, yes, brings a little tear to my eye because it is so sweet. Thanks for blessing me today with a warm heart. Is that what kept you from freezing among all that snow and ice? HAHA
