Tuesday is Coming

It’s been a day of turmoil.  I don’t keep my television on all day… but today I did.  The events in Egypt held us all in suspense.

Turmoil is all around me today.  Friends with heart-wrenching family situations.  Friends with problems on the job.  Friends literally dying from disease.

I took my walk this afternoon, carrying the turmoil in my heart, praying literally “God help us all!”

And it was still freezing cold outside.  Our sun was shining brightly, but it was freezing.  I’ve been checking the weather forecast for the Land of Enchantment, and next Tuesday we will be well out of the deep freeze enjoying 75 degrees!  I think it’s going to take some serious southwest winds to usher it in, but I’ll take it.

Tuesday’s coming.  In all this turmoil… there will still be cold days, the wind will blow… but Tuesday is coming.

Thank You God, for helping us all, and for sending those mercies… new every morning.

Our short time of cold weather is nothing compared to what the people of Egypt could be up against in the coming days. May God continue to send his mercy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts today, Sandy.

I’m so very concerned for those people. I can’t imagine being an Egyptian today. Thanks, Marcea. I debated posting this for hours. Just wanted to share my feelings.

Sandy, I love that the cold winds blow that we might enjoy the south wind when they come.
    Song of Solomon 4:16
“Oh,I pray that the cold north wind and the soft south wind may blow upon my garden, that its spices may flow out in abundance.”
The footnote says:”Am I willing to have the north wind of adversity blow upon me, if it will better fit me for Christ’s presents and companionship?”

We can indeed learn so much from the “cold winds” of our life.
